Dodgers topped the Washington Nationals by the slimmest of margins, 3 to
2.
The game was deadlocked at 2 after nine full innings. Los Angeles(NL) came
out on top in the 10th inning. Chase Utley delivered a base-hit. Chris
Taylor followed next and he drew a walk. Corey Seager then ripped a
base-knock to load the bases. Justin Turner was up next and he hit a single
making Los Angeles(NL) the victors to the delight of the home town faithful.
Both teams totaled 8 hits on the night.
Tony Watson(1-1) allowed no runs in 1 inning, and picked up the victory. Matt

Danny Salazar dominated striking out 10 New York (AL) batters as the Cleveland
Indians bested the New York (AL) Yankees 4 to 2 at Progressive
Field.
Salazar(1-0) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He allowed just 1 hit
and 2 walks in 7 innings. Cleveland had only 4 hits for the afternoon.
Cody Allen recorded the save, his 2nd. Luis Severino(1-1) was given the loss.
He surrendered 4 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of Salazar - except New York (AL).
Joe Girardi lamented, 'He just was 'on' this afternoon. He was keeping our
guys off balance all game. A fine game by a good strikeout pitcher - makes
it a fun game for the hometown fans - unfortunately we were the visitors!'
