Progressive Field.
The game started off with Cleveland taking the lead in the first as they
scored 2 runs on 2 base hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Jay Bruce
who brought a roar from the partisan Progressive Field fans when he doubled
bringing in two baserunners. Cleveland had a total of 8 hits for the game.
Mike Clevinger(1-0) got the win allowing 2 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings. Dan
Otero earned the save, his 1st. Justin Verlander(0-2) was the loser.
Cleveland knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 7 runs in 6 and 1/3

Chris Sale racked up an impressive total of 12 strikeouts as the Boston Red
Sox bested the New York (AL) Yankees 2 to 1 at Fenway Park.
Sale(2-0) put on a good performance. He didn't give up much, just 2 hits and
3 walks in 6 innings. The New York (AL) batters went down meekly in the 9th.
Craig Kimbrel gained credit for his 1st save. C.C. Sabathia(0-1) took the
loss. 'Everything felt great' Sale said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I
