Miami tallied 2 runs in the 6th inning. The key at-bat was by Martin Prado
who thrilled the crowd when he doubled which was good for two runs. Atlanta
made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs
across.
Kyle Barraclough(10-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and
allowing no runs. Brad Ziegler recorded the save, his 25th. Jason Motte(4-7)
was the loser in relief.

Miguel Sano had 3 base hits and 3 RBI as the Minnesota Twins defeated the
Detroit Tigers in 10 innings 6 to 5 at Target Field.
The game was deadlocked at 5 after nine full innings. Finally, Minnesota
prevailed in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Brian Dozier
delivered a one-base hit. Joe Mauer stepped up next and he lashed a single.
Mauer took second on the throw. Sano then singled making Minnesota the
victors to the delight of the home town faithful. Minnesota had 16 hits for
the night while Detroit had 12.
Matt Belisle(5-4) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 inning. Shane
Greene(0-7) took the loss in relief. He surrendered 4 hits and 1 walk in 2
