Win:Law(2-4) Loss:Rodney(3-4)
Homeruns- M.Bumgarner(7th), C.Iannetta-2(11th)
Brandon Belt had 2 base hits and 3 RBI at Chase Field as the San Francisco
Giants won in dramatic fashion coming back to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks
by the count of 11 to 7.
San Francisco put a big number on the board in the top of the 9th inning,
which proved too much for Arizona to overcome as they erupted for 8 runs on 4
hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Belt who deflated the spirits of
the home town crowd when he doubled clearing all three ducks off the pond.
San Francisco rapped out 14 hits for the afternoon.
Derek Law(2-4) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings.
Fernando Rodney(3-4) ended up with the loss in relief. Bruce Bochy was very
happy after the game, 'It's great to come back and win it in your last at
bats! Our guys just wouldn't give up. And did you see the fans - one minute
they're laughing and screaming down all sorts of unprintable stuff at our
guys - the next minute - SILENCE! Yes sir, a very enjoyable win this
afternoon!'
