Dan Straily mowed down 10 Arizona batters as the Miami Marlins beat the
Arizona Diamondbacks in 10 innings by a score of 6 to 5.
The score was knotted at 5 after nine innings. Miami won the hard fought
contest in the 10th inning. Justin Bour hit a single. J.T. Realmuto stepped
into the batter's box and he drew a walk. Derek Dietrich then grounded into
a double play. Miguel Rojas was up next and he delivered a one-base hit
scoring the run. Miami had a total of 9 hits for the game.
Brad Ziegler(2-5) went 1 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory.
T.J. McFarland(3-6) was given the loss in relief. He pitched 1 inning giving

Philadelphia scored 5 runs in the top of the 6th inning. The highlight
belonged to Cesar Hernandez who silenced the stadium when he launched a
rocket-shot out of the park for a Grand Slam homerun. Philadelphia had 11
hits for the game and Atlanta had 8.
Jerad Eickhoff(10-17) was the winner allowing 3 runs in 5 innings. Hector
Neris preserved the game for Eickhoff, recording his his 23rd save. Max
Fried(0-4) was the losing pitcher in relief.

Logan Morrison slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI at Camden Yards as the Tampa
Bay Rays beat the Baltimore Orioles 7 to 2.
Tampa Bay jumped on top of Baltimore in the 6th inning when they came up with
3 runs on 5 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Wilson Ramos who
silenced the crowd when he cracked a two-run shot. Tampa Bay had 18 hits for
the night while Baltimore had 4.
The winning pitcher was Blake Snell(13-9) who allowed 2 runs in 6 innings.
Snell got relief help from Chase Whitley who gained credit for his 4th save.
Donnie Hart(2-1) absorbed the loss in relief.
