The Milwaukee Brewers edged the Washington Nationals at Miller Park by the
score of 5 to 4.
The game was decided in the bottom of the 8th inning. After two outs Eric
Sogard ripped a one-base hit. Ryan Braun stepped up next and he ripped a
base-hit. Travis Shaw then lined a single scoring the run. Washington
threatened in the 9th but Milwaukee was able to put down the rally.
Corey Knebel(3-3) got the win allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning. Carlos
Torres recorded his 2nd save. Brandon Kintzler(4-2) was hit with the loss in
relief. He surrendered 4 hits and no walks in 1 and 2/3 innings.
'Some losses are harder to take than others' Dusty Baker lamented after the
game. 'This was one of them.'

Marcell Ozuna had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Miami Marlins topped the
Philadelphia Phillies in 15 innings by a score of 3 to 2 at Marlins
Park.
Both teams had scored 2 runs after nine full innings. Finally, Miami
prevailed in the 15th inning. Ozuna hit a single. Justin Bour stepped into
the batter's box and he drew a walk. J.T. Realmuto then drew a walk to load
the bases. After an out was recorded, J.T. Riddle came up and he smacked a
single giving Miami the win as 33,292 happy fans joyfully celebrated. Miami
banged out 9 hits on the night.
