31,384 fans watched an exciting game at SunTrust Park. The Seattle Mariners
topped the Atlanta Braves by the slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.
Seattle took the lead off R.A. Dickey in the first inning plating an isolated
run. Jean Segura doubled. After an out was recorded, Robinson Cano came to
bat and would ground out scoring the run. Atlanta threatened in the 9th but
Seattle was able to put down the rally.
Ariel Miranda(6-9) allowed 2 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Miranda got help from Edwin Diaz who earned his 34th save.
Dickey(5-8) was the losing pitcher. He gave up 7 hits and no walks in 7
innings.
'Some losses are harder to take than others' Brian Snitker lamented after the
game. 'This was one of them.'

to 2 at Great American Bpk.
Castillo(18-6) was very good in the win. He allowed only 3 hits and 5 walks
in 8 innings. Cincinnati banged out 7 hits on the night.
Kyle Hendricks(15-9) absorbed the loss. Castillo was pleased with his
performance. He noted, 'I had good zip on my pitches. Just as important, my
location was right on. The fans really got into the game too - that always
helps me. Now, if I can only do that again in my next outing.'
