Julio Teheran retired 12 batters on strikeouts at SunTrust Park where the
Atlanta Braves beat the Cincinnati Reds 7 to 2.
Teheran(5-4) was on top of his game. He allowed only 7 hits and 1 walk in 9
innings improving his ERA from 5.25 to 4.68. Atlanta totaled 11 hits on the
afternoon.
Sal Romano(6-17) absorbed the loss. Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance
of Teheran - except Cincinnati. Bryan Price lamented, 'He just was 'on' this
afternoon. He was keeping our guys off balance all game. A fine game by a
good strikeout pitcher - makes it a fun game for the hometown fans -
unfortunately we were the visitors!'
