The very talented Houston Astros defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks by a score
of 4 to 1 at Chase Field.
In the 2nd inning Houston scored 2 runs when they came up with 3 base hits.
Carlos Correa kicked off the action when he hit a bases-empty home run.
Brian McCann was next and he laced a single. Zack Greinke then let a pitch
get away from him. Yuli Gurriel followed next and he doubled scoring the
final run of the inning. That was all the runs Lance McCullers(9-2) needed.
Houston rapped out 8 hits for the night.
McCullers got relief help from Ken Giles who gained credit for his 25th save.
Greinke(16-11) was tagged with the loss. He surrendered 3 runs and 6 hits in

J.T. Riddle ripped 2 homeruns as the Miami Marlins pulled out a win over the
pathetic San Francisco Giants by a score of 3 to 2 at Marlins Park.
Miami scored the deciding run in the bottom of the 9th inning. After an out
was recorded, J.T. Realmuto smacked a single. After another out, Riddle came
up and he stroked a one-base hit. Ichiro Suzuki then lined a base-hit giving
Miami the win much to the delight of the home town crowd. Miami totaled 9
hits on the night.
The victory was credited to Jarlin Garcia(7-3) who went 1 and 1/3 innings,
allowing no runs. The loss was charged to Ty Blach(3-10) in relief. He
pitched 1 and 2/3 innings and surrendered 3 hits and 1 walk.
