First baseman Carlos Santana blasted 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Corey Kluber
had a strong outing as the Cleveland Indians defeated the Colorado Rockies by
the score of 11 to 3 at Progressive Field.
Santana enjoyed a great day at the plate. He lifted one out of the park for a
two run home run in the 3rd inning and bombed a two-run dinger in the 5th
inning. Cleveland rapped out 13 hits for the afternoon.
Kluber(17-4) got the victory, allowing 3 runs for the game. Kyle Freeland(8-8)
took the loss. He allowed Cleveland 5 runs in 4 and 1/3 innings of work.

up an impressive total of 10 strikeouts as the New York (NL) Mets bested the

The New York (NL) fans enjoyed the offense provided by D'Arnaud. He blasted a
two-run home run in the 2nd inning and clubbed a solo home run in the 4th
inning. Both teams totaled 8 hits on the afternoon.

Paul Sewald recorded his 4th save. Andrew Cashner(9-10) suffered the loss.
Lugo was pleased with his performance. He noted, 'I had good zip on my
pitches. Just as important, my location was right on. The fans really got

score at Oakland Coliseum.
Oakland was unable to recover after Seattle went ahead in the 5th inning

victory.
The victory was credited to Mike Leake(11-4) who went 8 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 5 runs. Paul Blackburn(5-10) was the loser. He was hit hard and
