J.T. Riddle hit 2 doubles and had 3 RBI as the Miami Marlins defeated the
Atlanta Braves by the score of 10 to 6 at SunTrust Park.
Miami tallied 3 runs in the 6th inning with the help of 3 hits. Giancarlo
Stanton jump-started the scoring when he cracked a solo homerun. Two outs
later Justin Bour came up and he laced a one-base hit. J.T. Realmuto then
reached on an error. Derek Dietrich followed next and he was hit by a pitch.
Riddle came to the plate and doubled adding another two runs to their total.
Miami banged out 15 hits on the afternoon.
Justin Nicolino(2-7) went 2 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs for the win. The

Alex Presley had 3 base hits and 2 RBI as the Detroit Tigers beat the lifeless
Baltimore Orioles in 10 innings by a score of 7 to 6.
Both teams had scored 6 runs after nine full innings. Detroit came out on top
in the 10th inning. Andrew Romine ripped a base-knock, and an error was also
committed. One out later, Ian Kinsler stepped in and he hit a sacrifice fly
scoring the run. This was a game of many highs and lows for the home town
fans, as the lead kept changing - 5 times in all.
The victory was credited to Francisco Rodriguez(2-4) who went 2 innings,
allowing no runs. Mychal Givens(3-3) was the loser in relief. He pitched 1
and 2/3 innings giving up 5 hits and no walks.

Left fielder Andrew Benintendi jacked one out of the ballyard and had 2 RBI as
the impressive Boston Red Sox came back to win one over Chicago (AL) White
Sox, 3 to 2.
Boston had the winning rally in the 9th inning with 2 runs utilizing 3 base
hits. Benintendi got things rolling when he hit a bases-empty home run.
After an out was recorded, Mitch Moreland stepped in and he drew a walk.
Xander Bogaerts then lined a base-hit. Rafael Devers was up next and he
stroked a single resulting in an exciting win for Boston and a wild post-game
celebration by the home town fans. Boston won despite being out-hit by
Chicago (AL) 14 hits to 5.
Joe Kelly(3-0) got the win allowing no runs in 2 innings. David Holmberg(1-4)
absorbed the loss in relief. 'What a game!,' Kelly said afterward. 'When we
won it I almost couldn't believe it!'
