Second baseman Chad Pinder launched 2 homeruns and 5 RBI at Rogers Centre as
the Oakland Athletics beat the Toronto Blue Jays by the count of 10 to
9.
The Toronto fans didn't appreciate the big day Pinder had. He smacked a
three-run homer in the 2nd inning and cleared the fences for a two-run home
run in the 4th inning. Toronto had a chance in the 9th but they came up
short.
Daniel Mengden(5-16) picked up the victory, allowing 5 runs in 6 and 2/3
innings. Santiago Casilla earned the save, his 9th. Brett Anderson(2-10)
took the loss. He surrendered 5 runs in 1 and 2/3 innings and saw his ERA
increase from 5.69 to 6.09.

tenacity.'
