Chris Stratton dominated striking out 10 Pittsburgh batters at AT&T Park as
the Pittsburgh Pirates lost a heartbreaker to San Francisco Giants by the
score of 3 to 2.
The game was decided in the 9th inning. Denard Span lined a one-base hit.
Two outs later Buster Posey stepped up to the plate and he banged out a
single resulting in an exciting win for San Francisco and a wild post-game
celebration by the home town fans. Both teams finished the game with 5 hits.
The victory was credited to Mark Melancon(1-1) who went 1 inning, allowing 1
run. A.J. Schugel(1-1) was given the loss in relief.

Tyler Anderson(3-5) was charged with the loss. Martinez was jubilant in the
hometown clubhouse, 'It was a lot of fun out there. The fans gave me a lot

Cashner got help from Jose Leclerc who was credited with his 2nd save. Dan
Straily(7-11) ended up with the loss. 'It's a disheartening loss, no
question about it' said Don Mattingly 'But we have to get over it and get
