Diamondbacks defeated the Washington Nationals 5 to 2 at Chase
Field.
Arizona started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the
first scoring 3 runners on 2 hits. That scoring would be all that was
needed. Fernando Rodney relieved and was untouched by Washington as he
recorded the save, his 36th.

In a good matchup it was the dominant Houston Astros 8, the Baltimore Orioles
6 in 10 innings at Camden Yards.
The game was deadlocked at 6 after nine full innings. Houston ended up
winning it in the 10th inning. Brian McCann led off and he singled. After
an out was recorded, Marwin Gonzalez came to bat and doubled scoring a run.
Alex Bregman then doubled scoring the final run of the inning. Houston
banged out 14 hits on the afternoon.
Tyler Clippard(3-1) got the win allowing no runs in 2 innings. Zach
Britton(1-6) was the losing pitcher in relief. With this win, Houston has a
division leading 65-34 record. They have been 6-4 lately. With the loss,

Scooter Gennett hit 2 doubles and had 2 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds won at
Great American Bpk in dramatic fashion over the Miami Marlins, the final
score, 8 to 7.
Cincinnati won the game with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Billy
Hamilton lined a one-base hit. Hamilton swiped second base. Zack Cozart
then hit a single giving Cincinnati the victory and sending the 39,725
home-town fans home happy. Miami was out-hit by Cincinnati, 13 hits to 8.
Amir Garrett(2-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing
no runs. The loss was charged to Kyle Barraclough(4-3) in relief.
