Matt Kemp cracked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at SunTrust Park where the Atlanta
Braves beat the Chicago (NL) Cubs 11 to 6.
The Atlanta fans enjoyed the offense provided by Kemp. He cracked a two-run
shot in the 6th inning and bombed a two-run dinger in the 8th inning.
Atlanta finished with 12 hits while Chicago (NL) ended up with 9.

Carlos Gomez slammed a homerun as the Texas Rangers defeated the Baltimore
Orioles by the score of 5 to 4 at Camden Yards.
The game was won by Texas when they scored a run in the top of the 9th inning.
Gomez drew a walk. Joey Gallo stepped up to the plate and he grounded into
a double play. Robinson Chirinos then smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly'.
Keone Kela(4-0) got help from Matt Bush who pitched great and earned his 10th
save.
Miguel Castro(1-1) took the loss in relief. He gave up 1 hit and 1 walk in 1

Chris Sale racked up an impressive total of 14 strikeouts as the Boston Red
Sox bested the Toronto Blue Jays 6 to 1 at Fenway Park.
Sale(18-5) was solid in the win. He allowed only 9 hits and no walks in 7 and
2/3 innings. Boston had 9 hits for the night. Sale was helped out by Craig
Kimbrel who recorded his 36th save. Marcus Stroman(14-9) was given the loss.
Sale was pleased with his performance. He noted, 'I had good zip on my
pitches. Just as important, my location was right on. The fans really got
into the game too - that always helps me. Now, if I can only do that again
in my next outing.'

Angeles(NL) Dodgers topped the Chicago (AL) White Sox by the slimmest of
margins, 5 to 4.
Chicago (AL) found themselves trailing quickly as the Los Angeles(NL) bats
came through in the first inning when they tallied 4 runs on 3 hits. The key
at-bat was by Justin Turner who silenced the stadium when he clubbed a
two-run home run. Chicago (AL) had a chance to come back in the 9th but they
came up short.
Yu Darvish(9-6) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings.
