In the bottom of the 6th inning Texas went on top for good scoring a single
run on 3 hits. Alex Claudio was perfect in relief and gained credit for his
4th save.
Cole Hamels(10-8) got the win allowing no runs in 7 and 2/3 innings. Tyler
Skaggs(7-6) ended up with the loss. Although losing the contest, he whiffed
11 batters in 5 and 1/3 innings.

Happ(10-5) put on a good performance. He gave up just 3 hits and 5 walks in 7
and 1/3 innings. After the 4th inning, neither team was able to score.
Roberto Osuna gained credit for his 22nd save. Justin Verlander(10-9) was the
loser. 'Everything felt great' Happ said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I
could throw it by everybody today.'

The Atlanta Braves edged the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park by the
score of 4 to 3.
Atlanta scored 2 runs in the top of the 7th inning. Washington tried
unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th. Luiz Gohara(5-9) went 6 innings
allowing 3 runs for the win. Gohara was helped out by Jose Ramirez who
recorded his 5th save. Gio Gonzalez(10-8) was charged with the loss. He was
knocked around by Atlanta, allowing 9 hits and 5 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.
'We just made a lot of mistakes, mostly mental,' Dusty Baker said. 'It's bad
enough when the other team beats you, but when you start beating yourselves,
that's really bad.'

Jose Ramirez slammed a homerun as the Cleveland Indians came back to win one
over awful Detroit Tigers, 7 to 5.
Cleveland scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning plating 3 runs using 3
hits. After two outs Ramirez was the sparkplug when he cracked a solo
homerun. Roberto Perez next to the plate and he laced a base-knock, and an
error was also committed. Bradley Zimmer then cleared the fences for a
two-run home run making Cleveland the victor and beginning a joyous home town
celebration. Although they lost, Detroit did out-hit Cleveland 10 to 7.
Andrew Miller(7-0) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings. Shane
Greene(0-4) was the loser in relief. Terry Francona was in great spirits in
his post-game interview. Yet, when asked about his feelings after the
thrilling comeback victory, he volunteered, 'I'll tell you this much - I know
how my counterpart, Brad Ausmus, feels right now - and it's not very good.
It's terrible when you come up on the short end of one of these!'
