Kansas City took the lead for good in the 2nd inning plating one baserunner on
2 hits. After two outs Mike Moustakas doubled. Alcides Escobar was next and
he slapped a base-hit scoring the run. Overall Kansas City out-hit Los
Angeles(NL) 8 to 5.
Jason Vargas(3-6) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 8 and 2/3 innings.

Third baseman Eduardo Escobar left the yard and had 3 RBI at Target Field as
the Minnesota Twins beat the Baltimore Orioles 10 to 9.
Minnesota won the game with a run in the 8th inning. Eddie Rosario doubled.
Two outs later Byron Buxton came to bat and lined a single scoring the run.
Minnesota lit up the scoreboard in the 3rd inning when they had 6 runs on 7

with Eickhoff and the Philadelphia Phillies coming out on top of the San

Eickhoff gave a fine effort for Philadelphia. He went 6 and 2/3 innings

went down quietly in the 9th.
