Mike Clevinger dominated striking out 10 Detroit batters as the Cleveland
Indians beat the Detroit Tigers in 10 innings by a score of 3 to 1.
The game was deadlocked at 1 after nine full innings. Finally, Cleveland
prevailed in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Bradley Zimmer
opened up the rally as he ripped a one-base hit. Yan Gomes stepped into the
batter's box and he drew a walk. Carlos Santana then banged out a single
driving in a run. Santana took second on the throw. Francisco Lindor was up
next and he hit a sacrifice fly scoring the final run of the inning.
Cleveland had only 5 hits for the game.
The win went to Joe Smith(4-0) who allowed no runs in 2 innings. Cody Allen
recorded the save, his 24th. Chad Bell(1-3) took the loss in relief.

The score was knotted at 3 after nine innings. Minnesota won the hard fought
contest in the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Brian Dozier started
the attack as he laced a one-base hit. Dozier took his lead and swiped
second. Joe Mauer then drew a walk. Minnesota continued their aggressive
style with another stolen base. Miguel Sano came up to bat and stroked a
base-hit driving home two runs. Minnesota finished with 14 hits while Kansas
City ended up with 11.
Taylor Rogers(1-1) allowed no runs in 2 innings, and picked up the victory.
Mike Minor(6-3) suffered the loss in relief. He surrendered 4 hits and 2
