Homeruns- J.Upton-2(25th)
Justin Upton rocketed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Fenway Park as the Los
Angeles(AL) Angels beat the Boston Red Sox by the count of 5 to 3.
Upton was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided
much of the offense for the visitors. He smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in
the 4th inning and bombed a two-run dinger in the 6th inning. Although they
lost, Boston did out-hit Los Angeles(AL) 10 to 7.
Jose Alvarez(1-0) got the win allowing 2 runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. Blake
Parker was credited with his 17th save. Chris Sale(13-4) was tagged with the
loss. While he was the losing pitcher, he still struck out 11 batters in 7
and 2/3 innings.
