At Miller Park, the Milwaukee faithful were treated to an intriguing pitcher's
duel. Jimmy Nelson(5-3) finally bested his San Francisco counterpart, Ty
Blach(2-6), by the score of 2 to 0.
Milwaukee scored 2 runs in the 6th inning. After an out was recorded, Nelson
started the attack as he lashed a single. Jonathan Villar stepped up next
and he lifted one out of the park for a two run home run. Corey Knebel was
perfect in relief and gained credit for his 13th save.
Blach absorbed the loss. Despite taking the loss, he whiffed 8 batters in 5
and 1/3 innings.

The Atlanta Braves readily handled Philadelphia Phillies by a score of 7 to 3

In the bottom of the 6th inning Atlanta scored 5 runs when they had 5 base
hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Ozzie Albies who made the crowd
come alive when he ripped a base-hit which was good for two runs.
Philadelphia was out-hit by Atlanta, 10 hits to 6.
The winning pitcher was Sean Newcomb(5-4) who allowed 2 runs in 6 innings.
Arodys Vizcaino earned the save, his 3rd. Jerad Eickhoff(4-7) was tagged
with the loss.

Kyle Hendricks blanked Colorado in a very well-pitched complete game and Ben
Zobrist had 2 base hits at Wrigley Field as the Chicago (NL) Cubs won in
their last at-bat beating the Colorado Rockies by the count of 1 to 0.
The deciding run was scored by Chicago (NL) in the 9th. After an out was
recorded, Anthony Rizzo doubled. Zobrist stepped into the batter's box and
he doubled resulting in a mighty exciting win for Chicago (NL) and the 38,620
home town fans in attendance. Chicago (NL) had just 5 hits for the night.
Hendricks(8-5) was credited with the shutout. Pat Neshek(3-3) ended up with
the loss in relief. He pitched 1/3 of an inning giving up 2 hits and no
