Andrew Triggs reeled off a total of 12 strikeouts and Matt Olson left the yard
and had 6 RBI as the Oakland Athletics defeated the Cleveland Indians 10 to 3
at Progressive Field.
Olson had a big day against Cleveland. He laced a base-knock which was good
for two runs in the 3rd inning and lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in the 8th
inning. Oakland finished with 13 hits in the victory.
Triggs(7-1), allowing 3 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Carlos
Carrasco(5-8) was the loser. While he was the losing pitcher, he still
struck out 12 batters in 5 and 1/3 innings.
Triggs was humble when questioned about his performance, 'Well, I felt pretty
confident in my pitches this afternoon. But, I had great support behind me
and I just threw what was called. That was an extremely well called game!'
