Matt Olson lofted one into the 'cheap seats' at Progressive Field where the
Oakland Athletics beat the Cleveland Indians by the score of 1 to 0.
Chris Hatcher(2-2) got the win with a nice relief outing. He allowed no hits
and 3 walks in 3 and 1/3 innings dropping his ERA from 2.76 to 2.29. Oakland
had only 4 hits for the game.
Corey Kluber(8-2) was hit with the loss. He struck out 10 batters in 7 and
1/3 innings despite losing the game. Oakland now has a record of 20-33.
With this loss, Cleveland has a 5-5 record of late, 33-21 overall.

Center fielder Lorenzo Cain had 2 base hits as the Kansas City Royals defeated
the Detroit Tigers 4 to 2 at Kauffman Stadium.
In the bottom of the 6th inning Kansas City scored 3 runs with the help of 4
hits. They would be enough to earn the win. Kansas City had 8 hits for the
night.
The victory went to Joakim Soria(3-1) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs.
Soria was helped out by Kelvin Herrera who recorded his 4th save. Matt
Boyd(4-4) took the loss.

Freeman had a big day with his bat. He belted a three-run homer in the 3rd
inning and doubled which scored a run in the 6th inning. Atlanta managed
only 5 hits on the night.
Dickey(3-4) was credited with the shutout. Alex Meyer(5-5) absorbed the loss.
Despite losing, he struckout 8 Atlanta batters in 5 and 1/3 innings.
