David Peralta had 4 hits and 5 RBI as the Arizona Diamondbacks outscored the
Chicago (AL) White Sox 10 to 5.
Peralta had a good evening at the plate. He hit a single in the 1st inning,
singled knocking in a run in the 5th inning, smacked a three-run homer in the
6th inning and delivered a base-hit in the 8th inning. Arizona ended up with
13 hits for the game while Chicago (AL) had 10.
Taijuan Walker(2-1) allowed 5 runs in 8 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Mike Pelfrey(2-3) took the loss. He was unable to control the
Arizona offense and allowed 7 hits and 4 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.
'I didn't feel that good when I came to the park tonight,' Peralta said. 'I'm
glad I decided to play!'

The Pittsburgh Pirates and the Atlanta Braves locked up in an exciting one-run
game at SunTrust Park. The final score was the Pittsburgh Pirates 2, the
Atlanta Braves 1.
Pittsburgh won the game with a run in the top of the 9th inning. Josh Bell
smashed a solo-shot out of the park. Steven Brault(1-0) got help from Felipe
Rivero who pitched great and earned his 12th save.
Jose Ramirez(0-1) was given the loss in relief. With this win, Pittsburgh has
a 20-26 record. They have been 4-6 lately. With the loss Atlanta now has a
record of 16-29, worst in the division.

First baseman Chris Davis ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Camden Yards as
the Minnesota Twins lost a heartbreaker to Baltimore Orioles by the score of
6 to 5.
The game was won by Baltimore with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning.
Jonathan Schoop lined a one-base hit. Adam Jones followed next and he
grounded into a double play. Davis then hit a bases-empty home run resulting
in a mighty exciting win for Baltimore and the 25,290 home town fans in
attendance. Both teams totaled 13 hits on the night.
The victory was credited to Richard Bleier(1-1) who went 1/3 of an inning,
allowing no runs. Trevor Hildenberger(0-1) suffered the loss in relief.
Wth the win Baltimore now has a record of 19-26. Minnesota has a record of
