Jose Quintana(4-5) delivered a fine performance for Chicago (NL). He

Quintana got help from Wade Davis who was credited with his 12th save. Johnny

Charlie Morton had a strong outing as the Houston Astros defeated the Detroit
Tigers by the score of 4 to 1 at Minute Maid Park.
Detroit was unable to recover after Houston went ahead in the 3rd inning
scoring a single run using 2 hits. For the game Houston out-hit Detroit 11
to 5.
The win went to Morton(6-2) who allowed 1 run in 8 innings. Morton got relief
help from Ken Giles who gained credit for his 13th save. Daniel Norris(3-5)
was charged with the loss.

In a close game the Philadelphia Phillies got by the Colorado Rockies by the
score of 3 to 1.
Philadelphia tallied 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning when they came up
with 3 base hits. Tommy Joseph led off and got things going when he
delivered a one-base hit. Freddy Galvis came next and he laid down a
sacrifice bunt. Cameron Rupp then smacked a single to load the bases. Aaron
Nola got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. Cesar Hernandez
stepped into the box and doubled scoring two teammates. Philadelphia
finished with just 5 hits in the victory.
The victory was credited to Nola(4-5) who went 7 and 1/3 innings, allowing 1
run. Luis Garcia got the save, his 3rd. Pat Neshek(3-1) ended up with the
loss in relief. He allowed 3 hits and no walks in 2/3 of an inning.
The Philadelphia ballclub's record now stands at 17-26. With this loss,
