Michael Fulmer whiffed 10 batters as the Detroit Tigers topped the Chicago
(AL) White Sox by a score of 6 to 5 at Comerica Park.
Fulmer(3-0) gave Detroit a solid outing. He went 7 innings surrendering 10
hits and 2 walks. Chicago (AL) tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.
Shane Greene earned the save, his 8th. Lucas Giolito(1-3) was given the loss.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of Fulmer - except Chicago (AL).
Rick Renteria lamented, 'He just was 'on' tonight. He was keeping our guys
off balance all game. A fine game by a good strikeout pitcher - makes it a
fun game for the hometown fans - unfortunately we were the visitors!'

Houston went ahead for good in the 2nd inning scoring a single run on 2 base
hits. Houston ended up with 11 hits for the game while Oakland had 6.
The winning pitcher was Charlie Morton(3-2) who allowed 2 runs in 7 innings.
Chris Devenski recorded his 4th save. Daniel Mengden(1-3) suffered the loss.

18,250 fans watched an exciting game at Kauffman Stadium. The Minnesota Twins
topped the Kansas City Royals by the slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.
The deciding run was scored by Minnesota in the 8th. Jorge Polanco doubled.
Chris Gimenez came to the plate and doubled scoring the run. Kansas City
made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs
across.
Buddy Boshers(1-0) allowed 1 run in 1 inning, and picked up the victory. Matt
Belisle gained credit for his 4th save. Ryan Buchter(0-1) was tagged with
the loss in relief.
