CLEVELAND AT MINNESOTA

Win:Kluber(2-1) Loss:Berrios(0-2) Save:Miller(3rd)
Homeruns- C.Santana(1st), E.Encarnacion(3rd)
Corey Kluber reeled off a total of 14 strikeouts at Target Field where the
Cleveland Indians beat the Minnesota Twins 2 to 1.
Kluber(2-1) pitched one of his finer games as he simply was too much for the
Minnesota batters. He gave up just 4 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings improving
his ERA from 5.14 to 3.72. Cleveland managed only 5 hits on the night.
Kluber got relief help from Andrew Miller who gained credit for his 3rd save.
The loss was charged to Jose Berrios(0-2). He pitched 7 innings and
surrendered just 2 hits and 2 walks.
Kluber was asked about his big strikeout performance, 'Well, it's a little odd
when you rack up these numbers on the road - instead of cheers and a running
tally in the stands, everything gets real still and quiet. Just strange -
but it's nice to be able to take the crowd out of the game.'
