Left fielder Marcell Ozuna had 4 hits and 2 RBI and Jose Urena pitched a
complete game shutout as the Miami Marlins topped the New York (NL) Mets by a
score of 7 to 0 at Marlins Park.
Ozuna made sure the Miami fans enjoyed themselves. He doubled scoring a run
in the 1st inning, lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 4th inning, ripped a
base-hit in the 6th inning and delivered a single in the 7th inning. Miami
totaled 12 hits on the night.

Jon Gray struck out 11 batters at AT&T Park as the Colorado Rockies beat the
San Francisco Giants by the count of 10 to 4.
Gray(2-1) delivered a fine performance for Colorado. He surrendered 8 hits
and 3 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings. Colorado ended up with 16 hits for the
game while San Francisco had 8.
Johnny Cueto(0-1) took the loss. 'I had my good stuff tonight.' Gray said.
'As the game went along I started to get the feeling that I was going to
strike out a bunch of hitters.'

The Baltimore Orioles edged the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre by the
score of 8 to 7.
Baltimore took the lead for keeps in the top of the 2nd inning scoring 2
runners on 1 hit. The highlight belonged to Chris Davis who deflated the
crowd as he cracked a two-run shot. Baltimore had 11 hits for the game and
Toronto had 8.
The win was credited to Kevin Gausman(2-0) who went 5 and 1/3 innings allowing
6 runs. Zach Britton was credited with his 2nd save. Marco Estrada(0-1) was
given the loss.
'He gutted it out' Buck Showalter said of Gausman. 'I was very impressed by
his tenacity.'
