the Cleveland Indians beat the Chicago (AL) White Sox by the score of 9 to
4.
Carrasco(1-2) had a solid outing for Cleveland. He was reached for 9 hits and
1 walk in 8 and 2/3 innings. Cleveland had 12 hits for the afternoon while
Chicago (AL) had 9.
Michael Ynoa(0-1) was the loser in relief. Terry Francona was asked about the
performance of Carrasco, 'He had his good stuff out there this afternoon.
The fans really get into it when the strikeouts start mounting up - and that
seems to give him even more adrenalin.'

Max Kepler had 5 hits and 7 RBI as the Minnesota Twins beat the Detroit Tigers
in 10 innings by a score of 15 to 12.
Both teams were tied at 11 runs apiece after nine innings. Minnesota won the
game in the 10th inning. The key at-bat was by Miguel Sano who silenced the
stadium when he clubbed a two-run home run. Minnesota kept the scorekeepers
busy in the 2nd inning with 4 runs on 5 hits, the 4th inning when they had 4
runs on 3 hits and the 10th inning which saw them plate 4 runs on 4 hits.
For the game Minnesota out-hit Detroit 22 to 13.

Shortstop Xander Bogaerts had 2 base hits and 2 RBI and Chris Sale mowed down
15 Baltimore batters as the Boston Red Sox bested the Baltimore Orioles 6 to
2 at Fenway Park.
Sale(3-0) was in control of the game from the outset. He allowed only 9 hits
and no walks in 8 and 2/3 innings and gave up 2 homeruns. Both teams
finished the game with 9 hits.
Craig Kimbrel preserved the game for Sale, recording his his 4th save. Wade
Miley(0-1) ended up with the loss. Sale was jubilant in the hometown
clubhouse, 'It was a lot of fun out there. The fans gave me a lot of support
as did my teammates. We got the victory and I'll sure take 15 strikeouts
anytime!'
