Both teams were tied at 5 runs apiece after nine innings. Baltimore won the game in the 10th inning. Larry Sheets led off and got things going when he lined a single. Mike Young got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Floyd Rayford then blasted a two-run home run. Both teams finished the game with 9 hits.
