Eddie Murray hit one over the fence and had 4 RBI as the Baltimore Orioles
beat the Cleveland Indians by a score of 13 to 6.
Murray enjoyed a big day at the plate. He delivered a single in the 4th
inning, doubled scoring two baserunners in the 7th inning and smashed a
two-run homer in the 9th inning. It was roller coaster of a game as the lead
change hands 5 times.
The victory went to Ken Dixon(1-1) who went 7 and 2/3 innings, allowing 6
runs. Jerry Reed(0-2) took the loss in relief. He was knocked around pretty

In an exciting finish the Kansas City Royals pulled out a win over the Boston
Red Sox by a score of 3 to 2 at Royals Stadium.
The game was won by Kansas City with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning.
Steve Balboni drew a walk. Moreno was safe at second on a stolen base.
Roger Clemens then tossed a pitch that the catcher mis-handled. After an out
was recorded, Frank White came to the plate and lashed a single making Kansas
City the winners and sending the 26,503 fans home happy. The teams had been
locked in a scoreless duel until the 6th inning.
Joe Beckwith(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 3 innings and allowing

Kirk McCaskill recorded a complete game shutout at Metrodome as the California
Angels beat the Minnesota Twins by the count of 7 to 0.
Gary Pettis provided much of the offense. He doubled in the 7th inning and
launched a rocket-shot out of the park for a Grand Slam homerun in the 8th
inning. California managed 9 hits in their victory.

Both teams were tied at 3 runs apiece after nine innings. Toronto won the
game in the 10th inning. Al Oliver doubled. Fernandez stepped into the
batter's box and he slapped a base-hit giving Toronto the victory as 26,568
