Fernando Valenzuela went the distance and Pedro Guerrero touched them all and
had 4 RBI as the Los Angeles Dodgers bested the Houston Astros 7 to 3 at The
Astrodome.
Guerrero enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He clubbed a solo home run in
the 1st inning, doubled plating a run in the 5th inning and delivered a
base-hit bringing home two baserunners in the 7th inning. Los Angeles
finished with 13 hits in the victory.

Andre Dawson had 2 base hits and Joe Hesketh whitewashed Cincinnati on 3 hits
at Riverfront Stadium where the Montreal Expos beat the Cincinnati Reds by
the score of 2 to 0.
Hesketh(1-0) simply dominated Cincinnati. He didn't allow much, just 3 hits

San Francisco Giants by a score of 5 to 2 at Candlestick Park.
San Francisco was unable to claim the lead after San Diego went ahead in the
