Boston won the game with a rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 2 runs. George Thomas led off and started the attack as he drew a walk. George Scott next to the plate and he blasted a two-run home run giving Boston the victory and sending the 10,560 home-town fans home happy. Boston rapped out 9 hits for the afternoon. The win was credited to Vicente Romo(8-6) who went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs. Fritz Peterson(21-15) took the loss. He allowed 9 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings. 'What a win!', Romo said. 'These are the kind of games that stand out in your mind at the end of a season.'
