Nash(11-8) escaped virtually unscathed against the Chicago (AL) hitters. He
didn't allow much, just 2 hits and no walks in 9 innings. Oakland managed
only 5 hits on the night.
Jerry Nyman(6-10) suffered the loss. He gave up 7 runs and 5 hits in 8
innings. 'I've been working on a few things in my delivery, and I think I'm
hitting a good groove.' Nash said after the game. 'I'm ready to start
