Brooks Robinson launched 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Dave McNally had a
complete game at Memorial Stadium where the Baltimore Orioles beat the
Cleveland Indians by the score of 7 to 4.
Robinson was a one-man wrecking crew. He popped a two-run clout over the
fence in the 2nd inning, smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 4th
inning, banged out a single plating a run in the 6th inning and singled in
the 8th inning. Baltimore totaled 12 hits on the afternoon.
The win was credited to McNally(19-10) who went the whole way allowing 4 runs.
Luis Tiant(6-11) was charged with the loss.
'I didn't feel that good when I came to the park today,' Robinson said. 'I'm
glad I decided to play!'

The Minnesota Twins edged the Kansas City Royals at Metropolitan Stadium by
the score of 5 to 4.
Minnesota brought 3 runs across the plate in the 6th inning when they had 3
base hits. Tony Oliva kicked off the action when he ripped a solo home run.
Harmon Killebrew stepped up next and he drew a walk. Rich Reese then stroked
a one-base hit. Graig Nettles came up and he delivered a base-hit scoring
another run. Leo Cardenas stepped into the box and hit a sacrifice fly
scoring the final run of the inning. Both teams totaled 6 hits on the
afternoon.
Tom Hall(11-8) picked up the victory, allowing 4 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings. Al
Worthington gained credit for his 8th save. The losing pitcher was Wally
Bunker(8-29).
'I didn't have my best stuff but sometimes you just get lucky,' Hall said,
