Minnesota had the game winning rally in the 8th inning with 3 runs on 2 base hits. Harmon Killebrew led off and started the attack as he drew a walk. After an out was recorded, Bob Allison stepped up to the plate and he drew a walk. George Mitterwald then laced a base-knock, and an error was also committed, driving in two more baserunners.
