Denny Lemaster went the distance at The Astrodome as the Houston Astros beat
the Cincinnati Reds by the count of 2 to 1.
Houston started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the
first scoring one runner. Cincinnati made it exciting in the 9th, but they
were unable to push the needed runs across.
The victory was credited to Lemaster(13-9) who went the distance, allowing 1
run. Gary Nolan(10-8) was given the loss. 'Anytime you lose it hurts,' said
Dave Bristol 'but it's losing the close ones that really hurt.'
