Baltimore tallied 5 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning with the help of 6 hits. The biggest moment was provided by Mark Belanger who electrified Memorial Stadium when he clubbed a two-run home run. Baltimore totaled 14 hits on the night. The win was credited to Palmer(7-6) who went the whole way allowing 3 runs. Tom Murphy(1-8) was tagged with the loss.
