complete game as the New York (AL) Yankees beat the Oakland Athletics by a

Rico Petrocelli had 3 base hits and 2 RBI and Ray Culp had a complete game as
the Boston Red Sox defeated the California Angels 7 to 2 at Anaheim
Stadium.
California never recovered after Boston took the lead in the 3rd inning
scoring 2 runners on 2 hits. That early scoring was all that Culp(3-5)
needed. Boston finished with 9 hits in the victory.
Jim McGlothlin(1-4) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 4 runs and 7 hits
