Jim Rooker had an impressive outing as the Kansas City Royals defeated the
Oakland Athletics by a score of 4 to 0 at Oakland Coliseum.
Rooker(1-0) was on top of his game. He was stingy on the mound, allowing just

In an entertaining game at Oakland Coliseum the final score was the Oakland

Oakland wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning when they tallied

Third baseman Harmon Killebrew lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 3 RBI
and Dave Boswell was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game as the Minnesota Twins defeated the California Angels by the
score of 8 to 3 at Anaheim Stadium.
Minnesota took the lead for good in the 6th inning scoring 3 runners on 4
hits. The highlight belonged to Killebrew who deflated the crowd as he
lofted a three-run 'big-fly'. Minnesota banged out 15 hits on the afternoon.
Boswell(1-1) finished the game allowing 3 runs in the victory. Tom Murphy(0-1)
